(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE) GIL GARCETTI, DISTRICT ATTORNEY, LOS ANGELES: Mr. Simpson is a fugitive of justice right now. LARRY KING, HOST, "LARRY KING LIVE": The subject that night was that O.J. was missing. There was a warrant out for his arrest. He didn't show up. And they read the note that appeared like a suicide note. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, 1994) ROBERT KARDASHIAN, SIMPSON FRIEND: "I can't go on." (END VIDEO CLIP) KING: And it's just as we started, they came in to my ear and said: We've got a report to pick up the car. Go to the car. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, "LARRY KING LIVE," 1994) KING: OK, I'm going to have to interrupt this caller. I understand we're going to go to a live picture in Los Angeles. Police believe that O.J. Simpson is in that car. (END VIDEO CLIP) KING: And then, for the rest of the night, the next two and a half hours, I anchored the world's most unusual car chase. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, "LARRY KING LIVE," 1994) KING: Now they're telling me that they, they believe that this vehicle is registered to Al Cowlings, one of O.J.'s oldest friends, a teammate at Southern Cal. (END VIDEO CLIP) (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP, "LARRY KING LIVE," 1994) KING: Police radio is saying that Simpson, the passenger in the car, has a gun at his head. UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh, no. KING: Which has explained why they haven't been stopping and why they haven't moved up alongside. Both of those cars following what is presumed to be the car containing O.J. Simpson, now a fugitive from justice. It's going to pass through another overpass. You see cars in the other lane heading south. Look at all those cars stopped on freeways above it, overpasses.
