THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: I want to bring you up to date on a developing story out of Western Turkey. Apparently a short time ago, there was an earthquake that occurred in the same area that was devastated by massive earthquakes a year ago. It's been reported right now through the Associate Press -- in Istanbul, rather, that nine people have been reported injured; most of those injured apparently as a result of panic by jumping out of buildings.
You may remember from a year ago the number of people who were killed, 17,000 in total, a lot of those who were inside of buildings in the middle of the night that collapsed on top of them.
It's also been reported that, away from the epicenter back in Istanbul, 105 miles to the west of the epicenter, they did feel shaking there and trembling from this quake. Again, that occurred a short time ago.
But, again, just to bring you up to date, same part of Turkey as last year where we saw that massive earthquake, another earthquake today. Thus far, no extensive damage reported. We'll watch more on that for you, though. And, also, nine people injured as a result of jumping out of buildings in the area.
More to come throughout the day here on CNN on that.
