DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: We take you now to a breaking story outside of Sacramento, California -- just south of Sacramento.

What could have been a fatal accident has turned into a huge traffic mess. When you hear how the story unfolded -- it was a big rig truck -- lost control on Interstate 5. It was southbound on Interstate 5. It crossed into oncoming traffic. It hit several cars and another big rig.

The truck that lost control has also caught fire. And apparently, if we have that tape, there are -- there were, at least, black plumes of smoke coming from this that could be seen all the way in downtown Sacramento -- officials saying that the truck was completely engulfed in flames, warning that smoke could potentially present a hazardous situation. In fact they were even worried about that smoke for people who were around that area.

And yet, in light of all this, it doesn't appear anyone was seriously injured in this crash. When you look at those pictures, that's very hard to believe.

These pictures to us from two of our affiliates, KXTV and also KCRA, out of Sacramento - -once again, a big pileup in Sacramento, now a nasty traffic situation -- also a nasty accident, but amazingly, nobody seriously injured.
