KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: And we've been following a breaking news -- turning to a different note -- a breaking news story that we've been following this morning. We're told that the U.S. Navy has confirmed that they believe that an F-18 Hornet is likely the fighter jet that's been reported down in Fort Pierce, Florida.

We're told it was in a pasture-type area, the V-Bar-2 Ranch, we're told. The F-18 was flying from Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia to the Naval air station in Key West, Florida. And that flight is now listed as overdue, according to a Navy official.

We're waiting now on further word to see if indeed there was an ejection and if there are survivors from this plane crash.
