Gunman Sighted at Atlanta Transit Station

COLLEEN MCEDWARDS, CNN ANCHOR: Breaking news right here in Atlanta to tell you about. Let's go to the picture. We have a helicopter picture of a scene that Atlanta police are responding to right now. There are reports of a gunman, a sniper of some kind, on top of a crane at the rapid transit station in Atlanta called Lindbergh. The rapid transit system here is called MARTA.

It is at the Lindbergh MARTA station. There's quite a bit of construction in that area. There's some building going on there, some residential and commercial new buildings going in in that area. It's a very busy part of the city, just north of the downtown area, very busy at this time in the morning. Of course, it is rush hour. So, again, as we get more details about this, we'll let you know. But right now, here's what we know: Atlanta police are responding to reports of a gunman or a sniper on top of a crane at the Lindbergh MARTA in Atlanta. It is rush hour here.
