DONNA KELLEY, CNN ANCHOR: It's been more than 11 weeks since the disappearance of Chandra Levy, and still no hard leads in the investigation. In her home town of Modesto, California, support for Congressman Gary Condit continues to erode as questions over his involvement with Chandra Levy go unanswered. CNN's Rusty Dornin is outside Congressman Condit's headquarters -- Rusty.

RUSTY DORNIN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, Donna, of course there have been plenty of written statements issued out of this office in Modesto and out of Washington regarding Congressman Gary Condit's relationship with Chandra Levy. However, constituents here are still upset that he has not come forth to them and in person, said exactly what that involvement was. Many believe that he could have shed more light perhaps onto her disappearance.

Now, also, Vice President Dick Cheney's office has confirmed that Congressman Condit did meet with him for about 20 minutes on May 1, at about 12:30 in the afternoon. Now, that timeframe is interesting, because Chandra Levy's Web surfing apparently that she did from her apartment in Washington took place about 9:30 in the morning until about 12:30. She spent about three hours looking through travel lights and looking through airline schedules and also even looking up a Baskin Robbins site -- she had a Baskin Robbins down the street from her -- and that she quit about 12:30.

Now once again, of course, Congressman Condit is not a suspect or has never been a suspect in this case. But they did release this information that he did have a meeting with the vice president.

Now, the mystery is what happened to Chandra Levy after her Web surfing experiences in her apartment? That is where investigators are trying to find any possible leads they can, and one thing they did yesterday was go to a cab driver's meeting in Washington -- it was a political meeting on another matter -- about a half a dozen detectives did go to the meeting, it was very informal, but they did appeal to the cab drivers on the unique aspects of their job.

LT. BRIAN MCALLISTER, D.C. METROPOLITAN POLICE: You guys see more and hear more than most other people. You're on a street all the time, it's amazing what you guys know that nobody else knows. And you're a very valuable intelligence resource base, and that's why we're stepping to you today. What we're asking is any cab drivers who may have picked up Chandra Levy anywhere around May 1, a little bit before even afterward to please talk to us.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DORNIN: Now, the search will -- for anything concerning Chandra in the parks in Washington near her home, will pick up again on Monday. They have taken a break over the weekend, but that will resume once again on Monday.

Meantime, Chandra Levy's parents have gone away for the weekend, that is something that they have been trying to do, get a little time for themselves. They are trying to keep some normalcy in their lives as this continues, the agonizing uncertainty continues to go on -- Donna.

KELLEY: Rusty Dornin there at Condit's headquarters in Modesto, California, thank you.
