BRIAN NELSON, CNN ANCHOR: Now back in Washington, police are turning to the city's cab drivers for possible leads for the whereabouts of the missing intern Chandra Levy. And CNN's Patty Davis joins us from Washington now with the latest on the new search. Patty, good morning.

PATTY DAVIS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Good morning, Brian. Well, Washington, D.C. detectives met yesterday with 35 to 40 of D.C.'s cab drivers. What they want to know is did any of those cab drivers pick up 24-year-old Chandra Levy around May 1, which is the last day that she was heard from.

Now, they also want to go through, they want to comb through the log books of those cab drivers. They have to keep track of every single pick-up and drop-off that they make, hoping that they may be able to find some clues as to Levy's disappearance.

LT. BRUCE MCALLISTER, D.C. METROPOLITAN POLICE: As you talk to other drivers, let them know that we're still looking, we're still asking questions. And if they know anything, please encourage them to give us a call. We'll take any and all information that we can get.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DAVIS: Police spent last week combing through the heavily wooded Rock Creek Park. That is not far from where Levy lived. The search did not turn up anything, but they will resume that search again tomorrow on Monday.

As for Congressman Gary Condit, law enforcement sources tell CNN that they would probably be interested in talking to Condit for a fourth time, though sources say an FBI polygraph has not been ruled out. And you'll recall that Condit took a privately administered polygraph. His lawyers say that he passed that, but D.C. police Chief Charles Ramsey says that he doesn't give that much value.

Now yesterday, Vice President Dick Cheney's office confirmed that the Vice President did meet with the congressman on May 1. That was the last day that Chandra Levy was heard from. It was around the time -- around 1:00, 12:30, 1:00 -- around the time that police say Levy was logging off her computer. She had been going through various Web sites, they say. And Condit meeting -- this is from Cheney's office, around that same time.

Now Condit -- CNN has learned that Condit did that night vote on the House floor around 6:00 or 6:30. Police say Condit is not a suspect in Levy's disappearance -- Brian.

NELSON: Thank you, Patty. CNN's Patty Davis in Washington.
