LOU WATERS, CNN ANCHOR: We have a story in Salem, New Hampshire that we've been keeping an eye on. It's one of those stories -- as engineers develop new and more terrifying rides for amusement parks across the country, at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, which is about 45 miles north of Boston, one of the old-time roller-coasters at this park, which was established in 1902 -- apparently a wooden roller- coaster called the Yankee Cannonball had an accident.

Apparently, according to -- this is just happening now. But what we're understanding is that one of the coaster -- trains smashed into another, and a number of people have been taken out, some in neck braces, with injuries.

Now, as you may know, when a roller-coaster train leaves the station and goes over the loops on its route, another car loads up behind it. Apparently there was some missed cues there and one of those trains there smashed into another and the folks that you see being taken out by ambulance. And they continue that rescue work in Salem, New Hampshire at the Canobie Lake Park as we speak. A number of those people were injured.

We'll keep you posted on that story. If there's more to tell you, we'll tell but it.
