VINCE CELLINI, CNN ANCHOR: This is a developing story. A commuter train in Donner's Grove Illinois, which is western suburb of Chicago, has apparently been involved in an accident.

You're seeing pictures here now of this particular accident.

And we want to get more information from assignment editor with WFLD.

Jennifer Struzik is with us by phone.

Jennifer, are you there?

JENNIFER STRUZIK, WFLD REPORTER: Yes, good morning.

CELLINI: Good morning.

Can you give us a real location on this particular area?

STRUZIK: Well, Donner's Grove is a western suburb of Chicago, probably about 30 or so miles out. It was apparently an inbound commuter train. It's unknown of circumstances at this point as to exactly how this person ended up underneath the train. We're hearing that it is a female person. Fire personnel is apparently talking to this victim.

CELLINI: Yes, there's a person actually trapped, a woman is trapped beneath the train.

STRUZIK: Yes, and apparently they are bringing in hydraulic equipment. And the latest from the fire department is that they are looking for some type of crane to lift this railcar to release this person.

CELLINI: So this person, again, is still alive at this point. They are trying to save this person.

STRUZIK: Yes.

CELLINI: All others have been removed from the train?

STRUZIK: From what we understand, yes.

CELLINI: Do we have any idea how this happened? You talked about the hydraulics. Were they trying to move something here? What exactly was taking place?

STRUZIK: You know, we're unsure at this time. As you can see, it's a ground-level, you know, train platform where people can park their cars and then walk across the tracks to get to the train. It's not clear if the person maybe had parked and was running late and trying to catch a train. It was an inbound train that it looks like was just pulling into the station.

CELLINI: So we're not sure exactly how this person wound up on the tracks.

STRUZIK: Exactly.

CELLINI: But, again, that's not pedestrian traffic by any means.

STRUZIK: Right.

CELLINI: We thank you very much. Jennifer Struzik, we will be in touch, as we continue to follow the story. A commuter train in Illinois. An accident there, a woman is pinned under the train. They are trying to rescue right now. We will continue to follow that.

CNN LIVE AT DAYBREAK continues after this.
