NATALIE ALLEN, CNN ANCHOR: If you've been watching CNN in the past few hours, you saw our coverage from Lowell, Indiana of a hostage situation in a bank in the small town of 7,000 people.

We want to bring you the latest. It is over. It has ended peacefully. The gunman surrendered after negotiations with the FBI. Gave up peacefully, as I mentioned, no one was injured.

Here are pictures of a couple of hostages that were released early on by the gunman who released up to perhaps five hostage before finally surrendering. The gunman was then described as a white male in his 20s.

Police wouldn't give anymore information about him, how this whole thing was started, how it ended. But we do expect to have those questions answered in about 10 minutes when the FBI holds a news conference, and we will provide live coverage of that at that time.
