JUDY WOODRUFF, CNN ANCHOR: Some news from the Capitol: The House of Representatives has just passed, by a surprisingly close 216- 214 vote, the economic stimulus package. This is a package supported by House Republicans. It came out of the House Ways and Means Committee. Of course, that is a Republican majority on that committee.

This is something that President Bush had urged House members to support. Having said that, the president today started to describe his own idea of what an economic stimulus package should look like.

The Senate has yet to act. And, of course, there'll be a conference agreement even after that, so much more to go. The House has passed its version, though, at this point.
