CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: We want to bring to you a breaking story that's happening this afternoon. The Associated Press is reporting today that an outbreak of fever in the West African nation of Gabon has now been confirmed as the deadly disease Ebola, this according to the World Health Organization.

This has not been confirmed by CNN yet, but the Associated Press is indeed reporting that the fever has been confirmed as Ebola and now it would be the world's first documented outbreak of Ebola since last year in Uganda where 224 people died from that deadly virus, including health workers who were involved in the situation there. Once again, CNN's working on the story. We will bring more information to you as it becomes available.
