MARTIN SAVIDGE, CNN ANCHOR: We want to bring you the very latest and for that, we are going to go to CNN's Bill Hemmer who is in Kandahar, Afghanistan -- Bill.

BILL HEMMER, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Marty, getting word here that yesterday a Marine helicopter, a CH-53, known as the Super Stallion, apparently suffered a bad landing somewhere in the region, somewhere in southern Afghanistan; no causalities, no serious injuries. The crew apparently is OK, but that helicopter right now, they're in the process of recovering that and bringing it back here to the Kandahar Airport. Again, not a whole lot of information right now. We're working the story here at the airport. We'll bring more to you when we get it.

Also, in a moment here, the latest on the detainees and the question you get sometimes -- it could be a very long and very slow and very difficult process. We'll have that for you when our coverage continues, live at Kandahar in a moment here.

Marty, back to you now in Atlanta.

SAVIDGE: All right, Bill, thanks very much. We'll get back to you in just a bit.
