Man Arrested at London's Heathrow Airport After Found to Have Been Carrying Sharp Items

PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Breaking news to share with you. A report out of London that a man has been arrested at London's Heathrow Airport after he was found to have been carrying sharp items that might have been used as weapons hidden in his shoes and his socks. That, according to British authorities. The man, who was charged under Britain's aviation security law, was discovered Wednesday apparently as he was going through a security check at Heathrow. And that is according to an official with British airport -- with the British airport.

The man apparently had a knife and pliers, also a screwdriver, apparently hidden in a glasses case. That was found. He was identified by -- or was about to board a British airways flight to Seattle, an that's about all we can tell you.

But good work at the London's Heathrow airport. The man has been arrested.
