BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Quickly, I want to turn our attention, though, to a story that is happening on the streets of Manhattan in New York City. If you were with us a short time ago, Daryn and Leon were talking about this.

This is at 34th and Broadway, where police are saying that six people right now have been hospitalized after being hit at that intersection, 34th and Broadway. One now in serious condition at Bellevue Hospital, the others in stable condition at St. Vincent's.

Police are now saying they stopped the car a block away from the scene, the driver jumped out and ran away. All this happening, again, right around the noon rush hour there in New York City. We will watch it for you. Again, one right now in serious condition there in Manhattan.
