DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Want to get back to our breaking news story out of LAX in Los Angeles and the evacuation of Terminal 6. We have with us on the phone right now Grace Brady with the LAPD -- Grace, good morning, hello.

GRACE BRADY, LAPD: Good morning.

KAGAN: Can you tell us the situation with the evacuation and the arrest of one man, as I understand it?

BRADY: Yes. Apparently, at about 6:45, LAX airport police arrested one male, white, he is believed an inactive Army National Guardsman, for possession of a military explosive. It is unknown exactly what the explosive is, but it was -- he attempted to pass it through the conveyor belt at about 6:10 this morning.

KAGAN: So it was at the screening that this took place?

BRADY: Yes, this was at the upper level of Terminal 6 in the screening area.

KAGAN: Do you know which airlines -- they are that fly out of that terminal?

BRADY: No, I couldn't (ph) verify that for you.

KAGAN: There was a situation on Friday where the Bradley Terminal, the international terminal, was evacuated, totally unrelated?

BRADY: It is believed to be unrelated.

KAGAN: And the one thing I don't understand about today, is if this man was taken into custody, why does the terminal need to be evacuated?

BRADY: Well, the bomb squad had to respond and determine that it was safe for passengers to return, and now it has been determined that it is safe for passengers to return.

KAGAN: Oh, it has. So that has been reopened, then.

BRADY: Yes. They did need to take the necessary precautions, and they needed to evacuate. KAGAN: I understand. Did not know it had been reopened. So Terminal 6 has been reopened after this arrest that took place, I guess about an hour ago, a little over an hour ago?

BRADY: That's correct.

KAGAN: All right. Grace Brady, LAPD. Thank you very much. Bringing us up-to-date on what is happening at LAX. Once again, Terminal 6 reopened after one man taken into custody, arrested for having an unauthorized military explosive.
