CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: You know all of the classic TV shows have their fans, but some fans of "The Munsters" are proving their devotion in a very unusual and expensive way.
Reporter Jeff Crilley (ph) of our affiliate station KDFW explains.

SANDRA MCKEE, "MUNSTERS" FAN: eBay is where I go in and buy all my "Munster" items.
JEFF CRILLEY, KDFW-TV REPORTER (voice-over): She's such a big "Munsters" fan that it wasn't long before Sandra McKee found her collection taking over the house. So she convinced her husband, Chuck, to build a bigger house.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: This is very unusual, yeah, the architecture.
CRILLEY: Unusual is an understatement. You remember the exterior on the show? Well the McKee's are building an exact replica.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: See the fireplace?
CRILLEY: They use tapes of the show to guide their progress.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That's going to pretty much...
S. MCKEE: And you can -- you can add a little more to it but I want it to be original looking.
CRILLEY: And it's not just the outside they're worried about.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Here's the replication of the...
CRILLEY: They've duplicated the inside too. A trapdoor staircase,...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: And it spins around.
CRILLEY: ... the revolving door,...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: And the house wouldn't be complete without the dungeon. CRILLEY: ... even Grandpa's dungeon.
S. MCKEE: Here's where the coffin telephone is supposed to...
CRILLEY: In fact, the only thing that they're not duplicating is that coffin phone. Sandra says that would give her the creeps.
S. MCKEE: I'm real uneasy with having a coffin in my home. The way I feel, I'll be in a coffin one time only.
CRILLEY: The McKee's figure when it's all said and done they will have sunk more than a quarter million dollars into this "Munster" of a project.
S. MCKEE: This goes into the kitchen.
CRILLEY: In fact, neighbors have even joked about building a sitcom city with other famous houses next door,...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: "Adams Family" house and...
CRILLEY: ... which is fine with the McKee's as long as they keep with the ghoulish motif.
CHUCK MCKEE, "MUNSTERS" FAN: I don't really think "The Brady Bunch" would fit into this neighborhood. It'd be just a wet blanket on everything around here.
CRILLEY: Yes, you wouldn't want to ruin the neighborhood.
Jeff Crilley reporting for CNN.

COSTELLO: The dungeon's OK but that coffin phone, no way.
