DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Want to tell you about yet another situation at LAX in Los Angeles -- Los Angeles International Airport. Two incidents to tell you about. The first one, the ticket counter area of Terminal 3 -- and this is the terminal that American Airlines, Frontier and Horizon operate out of -- the ticket area has been evacuated after a suspicious item was found at the ticket -- at the ticket counter there.

Also, in addition to that, at the same time at LAX, a Varig flight from Rio De Janero has been directed to the western end of a runway for screening of luggage. So we have two situations at LAX that we're monitoring.

This, of course, is almost becoming a daily situation, in the morning, at this airport, with either evacuations or some kind of a security infraction. Today's does not look as serious as some of the other days, when we've seen with thousands of people outside some of the terminals there.

But, once again, the ticket area at Terminal 3 evacuated at LAX, and a Varig flight that's going from Rio to -- that's going from Rio -- there is the flight, actually, that we're talking about, that has been directed to a western part of the runway to screen for luggage. So that plane going nowhere quickly. And we'll keep watching this.
