BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Our next story, certainly not your typical wives' tale. A 44-year-old woman in Georgia accused of being married to six men at one time. Janet Gentry of WAGA has more.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

THOMAS RIDER JR., HUSBAND: She was still married to six of us. The others she divorced. But she was married to six of us at one time.

JANET GENTRY, WAGA REPORTER (voice-over): Thomas Rider Jr. called Clayton County sheriff's deputies to cart his bride off to jail.

RIDER: I think she should get the book at her, my personal opinion. Because I've been used. The other husbands have been used and lied to. If she gets away with this, who knows what she'll get away with?

GENTRY: Forty-four-year-old Tammy Denise Rider is accused of having six husbands at once, in four different states. In Tennessee she was allegedly Mrs. Dunton. And in Alabama, she was Mrs. Edwards. In South Carolina, her surname reportedly became Maddox. And in Georgia, she was allegedly Crane, Smith and Rider, depending on the county.

He's husband No. 3, he thinks. He says they courted for a year, but 10 days after they married, they was trouble.

RIDER: She said she didn't know if she did the right thing. She had some things troubling her and bothering her, and she needed time. So I left my truck, and she went and got married in my truck again.

GENTRY: Rider's bond is set at $10,000.
