KATHLEEN KOCH, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): A year later, a daughter still missing and a personal tragedy pushed from the headlines by a national one. After September 11th, Chandra Levy's parents suffering in silence.

HEMMER: Apologize for the interruption. To San Diego, the parents -- the stepfather and the mother of Jahi Turner now meeting with reporters.
