MILES O'BRIEN, CNN ANCHOR: Yep, yep. Yesterday was quite an adventure in television, wouldn't you say, Kyra?

KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Absolutely. But the highlight, back by popular demand.

O'BRIEN: Charlie the truck guy? No, that's a different story.

PHILLIPS: In all fairness, we don't know what happened to Charlie at the end of the hour, so we taped a little zyda-funk on tape so you could have a little flavor of these wonderful guys. They're coming out with a cd pretty soon.

O'BRIEN: This is basically a consolation prize for a band which got no sleep on account of Kyra. Here they are.

PHILLIPS: They are going to wake you up.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

All right, we are going to start out and have everybody in the band give us something-something on their instrument. Jeff, start us off.

(MUSIC)

PHILLIPS: Jodi.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All right.

(MUSIC)

PHILLIPS: Jason.

(MUSIC)

PHILLIPS: All right. Mark.

(MUSIC)

PHILLIPS: And Charlie.

(MUSIC)

PHILLIPS: Oh, yes. This is zydafunk. Introduce you once again. Tell us how you got this name.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It's basically a description of the kind of music we play. We didn't just want to do just Cajun or just Zydeco. We wanted to bring the New Orleans aspect. And basically from New Orleans, to Lake Charles, south of the I-10, if it goes out of there, we are going to play it.

PHILLIPS: I know that area. You guys, it doesn't matter what age you are, what color you are, you reach everybody with your music.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I'm from Lafayette. You see the whole family will come to the show. You bring your nephews and nieces, your grandma, grandpa. Everybody goes together. We're trying to get everyone involved.

PHILLIPS: From 2 to 80?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That's it.

PHILLIPS: You get everybody dancing. You're going play a little tune for us and take us to break. All right. Thanks, guys.
