BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: That guardianship hearing as to the young daughter of Robert Blake, the man now behind bars, accused of killing and murdering his wife just about a year ago.

Charles Feldman outside the courthouse there, the L.A. County Courthouse, with more of what went on inside. Charles, what do you have?

CHARLES FELDMAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, Bill, the hearing is now over. And Robert Blake's 35-year-old daughter, Delinah, has been granted temporary guardianship of Rose, who is almost two years old.

And Rose, of course, is the daughter of Robert Blake and Bonny Lee Bakley. Blake of course now in jail, charged with the murder of Bonny Lee Bakley.

There was early on in this case some notions that Bonn Lee Bakley's sister, Margerry, might contest guardianship. But as it turns out, she has decided not to. Her attorney, though, was present in the courtroom and asked the judge that while they're not contesting the temporary guardianship of the child by Blake's daughter, they would like a child custody study done to determine that the child is being raised in a proper home.

The judge said that that would happen when and if a move is made to grant permanent guardianship to Blake's 35-year-old daughter, Delinah.

The attorney representing the Bakley family also asked that if Robert Blake were to be freed on bail, that he be restricted to one hour visits with his daughter, and in the presence of an armed guard. The judge said that he saw no basis for that ruling.

So as it stands now, Bill, 35-year-old Delinah Blake, who is the daughter of Robert Blake, is now going to have temporary guardianship of her half-sister, Rose, at least until the 25th of July. That is the date of the next hearing -- Bill.

HEMMER: Charles, thank you. Charles Feldman, outside the court there in L.A. County.
