Some Injuries Reported in Amtrak Collision

DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: We want to want to bring you up-to-date on the breaking news that we are following in the southern part of South Carolina, and that is word of a crash involving an Amtrak train; apparently this taking place near Coosawhatchie. That is on the coast north of the Georgia state line, Georgia and South Carolina. It's not too far from Savannah.

We are hearing from Amtrak officials that there are some injuries involved in this Amtrak collision, and apparently the train has struck a log truck at a crossing near Coosawhatchie. No word on the severity of the injuries or how many people might be injured at this point. We will continue to follow that story.
