BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Tonight at midnight, the clones are going to hit the screen. And people have been waiting for weeks for this. Maria Hinojosa tracking the lines outside one theater in New York. And, have they really been hanging out there for three weeks, Maria? I find that hard to believe.

MARIA HINOJOSA, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Bill?

HEMMER: Yes.

HINOJOSA: Look at the tent here, OK?

HEMMER: They brought their supplies anyway.

HINOJOSA: That's right. My anchor wants to know if you guys have really been here for three weeks. Is it true?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I've been here for four days. But I've been here intermittently for three weeks.

HINOJOSA: OK, and you?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I've been coming every evening during the week for three weeks, and every weekend after work.

HINOJOSA: And these guys are serious because, of course, they've got their "Star Wars" cards here. Everything has got a little bit of "Star Wars" for you.

Now, there are some other people who take this just a little bit more seriously, Bill. You see, they're practicing. I think that they're grown up, but I think that they think that they're still kids.

Break it up, you guys. Am I going to get socked with this stuff? Now, you came all the way from England?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That's correct. I kind of felt that when we saw it in England, we saw in the wrong conditions. Because in England, there was no line, there was no atmosphere. We thought, we can't -- it is an event -- that's the problem. This is an event, and it should be treated like an event.

HINOJOSA: OK. And for you, you came from as far away as... UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I'm from Manhattan, technically. I'm a native Californian, but I'm from Manhattan. And I have to see this movie. It's the first movie I've seen in a theater.

HINOJOSA: Really.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: "Star Wars" was my first, yes.

HINOJOSA: Oh, my gosh. Now, this whole thing -- you guys are just -- you don't actually have these things choreographed, do you?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Actually we choreographed it this time. Make an effect. Since we're sword fighting instead of hitting each other's fingers, let's choreograph it and make it nice.

HINOJOSA: Now, what does "Star Wars" mean to you as a person? What does it bring to you?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It brings order. It brings me peace. It gives me guide of what to do. It's based on Homer. Have you read Greek mythology?

HINOJOSA: Absolutely.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It's based on that. Just sugar-coated.

HINOJOSA: OK, and for you, what does "Star Wars" mean?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: For me, it was a different purpose. It's actually influenced my career because, because of watching the films of George Lucas, "Star Wars," "Indiana Jones," basically I want to become a filmmaker. And it's greatly influenced me in that respect. So, watch this, I would say it's just adding to that. It's great.

HINOJOSA: You see, there are some people who just like to go see a movie. There are other people who come away with it and really change their lives, like these guys. Just a few more hours until 12:01, when they actually get into the Ziegfeld theater and get to see the premier.

So we won't stay until midnight, but we'll tell you all about it.

HEMMER: I hope they're not disappointed. Have those guys heard about the reviews? Because the reviews were a bit lukewarm. Did they react to that at all?

HINOJOSA: They don't care. They want to see the movie. They want to see it first. They don't care about reviews. They got it in their souls, as they say.

HEMMER: And if they came all the way from England to catch up on the buzz, I think you're right. They probably do not care. Thanks, Maria.

HINOJOSA: Sure, Bill.

HEMMER: Maria Hinojosa in the streets of Manhattan.
