LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: We are going to close this hour out with a very bright note. Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his fiance, Heather Mills, say the big day is indeed tomorrow. Now, 300 guests have been invited to the 17th century Irish castle, where the couple is going to be wed.

Well, make that 300 guests plus Richard Quest. He has been camped outside the gates here for a couple of days now. He's joining us to give us a little scene-setter.

All right, Richard, what's going on there? Oh, I see you have the umbrella back out.

RICHARD QUEST, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Leon, you wouldn't believe it.

I mean, we had a short break of just about -- oh, I don't know -- 15, 20 minutes when there was in rain. And that was when, of course, McCartney and Mills came out. After that, I mean, it's just absolutely bucketing it down, and has been for hours. Paul McCartney said that they weren't going to let the bad weather get in the way of the happy celebrations. His spokesman described the couple as being, like, love-struck teenagers. They were lively and bubbly as they were going around the castle, looking around and seeing all the preparations.

Now, when he came out here, he was very keen to say that this was not going to be a celebrity wedding. It was a wedding for family and friends. In fact, he said there would only probably be about 10 people, 10 celebrities that we would actually know or indeed would recognize. Well, we haven't seen anybody going in. The windows are blacked out of the vans that are taking the guests in. We are doing our best.

Although, though, it was a very happy, very, very enjoyable occasion watching the two of the them coming out. He gave her a kiss once. For those members of the press who missed it, he gave her a kiss again. And then he referred to that odd incident when Uncle Jack Leslie, the man who used to own the castle, when he gave away the secret of when McCartney would marry Mills. You remember that last week?

Well, was McCartney angry?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) PAUL MCCARTNEY, MUSICIAN: But...

HEATHER MILLS, FIANCE OF PAUL MCCARTNEY: Excited.

MCCARTNEY: Excited, yes. So, we are going to go back into the castle. And, as you know, through Uncle Jack, it is tomorrow.

(LAUGHTER)

MILLS: But it's a secret.

MCCARTNEY: But it's a secret.

All right, I'm not supposed to tell anybody anything. So, what we are going to do, it's basically a family wedding. So we are going to have family and friends. And we are just going to have a bit of fun. And we won't be up -- hello.

So, there you are. Thank you very much for your support. And we will see you. Thank you. All right?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

QUEST: That was the sort of mood. He made a point of speaking to the crowd. Heather Mills gave a kiss to a girl who gave her some flowers. And they also received a plaque of the Heather Mills and Paul McCartney family tree.

So, Leon, an extraordinarily day.

Hang on. Hang on. Bit of luck here. Hey, let's make the most of it. The rain stopped.

(LAUGHTER)

HARRIS: That's classic springtime weather over there. If you don't like it, just wait 15 minutes. You are going to get something different.

Hey, Richard, real quickly, did they say why they chose this particular spot, this castle?

QUEST: Yes, they did. They say they chose this spot because Paul McCartney's mother was born in the area. His grandparents are buried here. And, of course, they said they had enormous family relationships here. That's why they chose Glaslough.

HARRIS: There you go. That makes sense.

All right, try to stay dry and we will check back with you later on -- Richard Quest there in the Irish countryside.
