CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Sir Paul McCartney says I do today. The former Beatle is marrying ex-model Heather Mills during what he says will be a private family affair. The ceremony is being held at Irish castle in Glaslough.

And our Richard Quest is there with all the nuptial news.

Good morning, Richard.

RICHARD QUEST, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Yes, I think I've now taken on the title, Carol, of chief nuptial correspondent over here at Castle Glaslough. And by the way, you need to practice that goal over some years if you're ever going to get it saying it right. We'll turn to that in just a moment because I've also got some World Cup news to bring you from Ireland.

First though, let's talk about the marriage -- the wedding of the year. Now we've been talking a great deal about this over the past few days, and all we've really seen so far is this, the entrance to Castle Leslie where, of course, the guards have stood for basically now the best part of a week.

So now what I want to do is show you a little bit more of the sort of things that are going on around here. First of all, where actually is the castle? The castle is over in that direction by about half a mile. You got to keep going way, way, way. Believe me, if I stood on a stepladder at the top of a hill on a house on a mountain, I still wouldn't be able to see into it. It's only when you get to the aerials and you actually go by helicopter that you see the castle, you see the marquee, you see the boat.

The boat, incidentally, the yacht, the 40-foot yacht where Paul McCartney and Heather Mills are said to be going tonight after the wedding ceremony, after the party, after all the bands have played when there's a firework display. The two of them alone will be -- will be shunted off into the middle of the lake to watch the fireworks alone. That's what they're telling us at the moment.

The castle, incidentally, it's said will be illuminated blue this evening. And not red, not red like my tie, of course, with the roses for love and for weddings. I thought that was a tasteful touch.

Let's go and have a look and see what Glaslough looks like. We've talked an enormous amount about this very small town -- village, in fact. In fact, if you blinked, you'd miss it. Well, you wouldn't miss the press that's here, and you probably wouldn't miss the Pillar House Pub (ph) where most of us have spent all our time.

To put it in perspective to you, you know you talk in the States, Carol, about being a one light town. I think that's the phrase that you use when you describe those places where you just have one stoplight, Glaslough doesn't have any -- there's none. It's just here on its own.

COSTELLO: Are there any cars...

QUEST: So you can't even call it a one -- now back to what I was saying.

Well, yes, there are cars, and the biggest traffic jam seems to have been as a result of us being here.

There is also a fish and chips stall, which is now doing extremely good business and will get even busier, because the other big event, and this brings us full circle, Carol, you were talking about the World Cup and you were talking about France crashing out. Well, it's Ireland's big day. Ireland are playing Saudi Arabia today. They have to win by two goals. I'm not going to say it as you'd like me to say it so don't even bother asking.

COSTELLO: Oh come on.

QUEST: There's far too many members of the press -- no way. There's far too many members of the press for me to make a complete plunker of myself. But let's have a look at the Irish "Daily Mirror," which perhaps put it into perspective. At the bottom of page 1 you've got Paul McCartney's wedding with full story on pages 12 and 13. The World Cup goes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. If Ireland managed to do it today, by two goals, then you'll hear the cheers back in Atlanta without need of satellite.

COSTELLO: Oh, you probably have that right.

Hey, have any guests arrived yet -- I mean to the wedding?

QUEST: OK, right. Oh yes, forgot about that. You want to know about the wedding. The guests that we know that are on their way, well obviously Stella McCartney is on her way. She may already be here. She was seen at London airport. The other guests -- we've heard so many names, Eric Clapton. We've head Chrissie Hynde from Pretenders. We've heard all sorts of people. Of course Ringo Starr who's rewritten a special version of "All You Need Is Love" which he's going to say as a poem. We haven't yet seen them. That's the problem. We expect to see them in the next couple of hours.

COSTELLO: OK, well we're going to get back to you then, Richard. Thank you very much. You continue to have fun there, OK?

Wonder how many fish and chips he's eaten so far?
