DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Let's go ahead and check in with my colleague Leon Harris who is covering this historic and amazing and Bishop Conference in Dallas, Texas.

Leon, good morning.

LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Good morning, Daryn. Good morning folks.

Things here are starting to heat up, even though it's a much cooler morning here in Dallas. The bishops have been up pretty much all evening yesterday, late into the night trying to hammer out this new document, this charter. We understand, we heard this morning that there definitely is another version of it out there and they are discussing it, and they'll be getting together this afternoon or later on this morning to vote.

We don't know exactly when, but we're going to be here to cover it. We're also going to be talking as well with some of the survivors and some very, I guess, just tragic family stories. We are going joined in just a bit by the mom of a boy who committed suicide after what happened with him and a priest. So we'll have all of that for you coming up later on.

Daryn, back to you.

KAGAN: Well Leon, if today is anything like yesterday, there will be many jaw-dropping moments. We saw and heard things that I don't think people ever thought we'd be able to see at any kind of Catholic Bishop Conference.

HARRIS: Not in any kind of conference, and in fact, it was -- the kind of thing where you almost felt uncomfortable, but when you realize just how important it was and just how difficult it was for these people to come together and sit down and talk about these things. Both the bishops who are trying to deal with it and the people who have survived these events and the pain they are going through. You know, you realize how important it is and you say this is something we've just got to stay here and watch, and we must see what happens.

KAGAN: Watch and cover and see what action comes of the words that we heard yesterday. Leon, we'll check back with you in a moment in Dallas, Texas. HARRIS: OK.
