KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Now, another death that took place in Chicago, not that of Ann Landers, but another one, that of an all-star pitcher, who was in Chicago.

Brian Palmer joins us now live from that area where people are mourning the death of this beloved baseball player, Darryl Kile.

BRIAN PALMER, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello, Kyra, it was indeed, a very startling development here. But the Chicago Cubs say that the game tonight, scheduled against the St. Louis Cardinals, will go ahead as scheduled.

Last night's game between the Cardinals and the Cubs was postponed when Darryl Kile's body was found in his hotel room here at the Westin on the 11th floor. Police saying, yesterday, that there's no indication of anything other than a death from natural causes. The autopsy is supposed to be taking place this morning.

Now, Kile was in his 12th season with Major League Baseball. He pitched with the Houston Astros and the Colorado Rockies before.

Yesterday, fans converged on St. Louis' Bush Stadium to pay their respects. This was a devastating blow to teammates and, presumably, to Kile's family as well.

Now, at the game tonight, we expect that flags will be flying at half-staff and there will be a moment of silence for Darryl Kile -- Kyra.

PHILLIPS: Brian Palmer, thank you very much. Darryl Kile leaves behind three children and his wife.
