Major Technology and PC Expo Wraps Up Today in New York

LEON HARRIS, CNN ANCHOR: Major technology and PC expo wraps up today in New York, and before it does, we want to show you some of the new gizmos and gadgets on display there, and joining us from New York is Suzanne Kantra. She is technology editor for "Popular Science" magazine.

Good to see you. How are you?

SUZANNE KANTRA, "POPULAR SCIENCE" MAGAZINE: Good. How are you doing?

HARRIS: All right.

Let's see what you've got.

KANTRA: Well, I have -- desktops and laptops really aren't going to catch your eye at this show. But this Sony Clia (ph) really has a lot of wow value. This (UNINTELLIGIBLE) turns around and flips down so you can use it for a regular tablet-style PDA, open it back up again, and you have a full keyboard.

Also, on a hinge, it has a camera built into it, so you can take quick pictures. It's really fantastic.

HARRIS: That's a winner. Is it heavy?

KANTRA: No, it's very light. But it will cost a lot of money -- it's $599.

HARRIS: Yow! All right, next one. Let's see it.

KANTRA: Another thing we have here; it may not look like much, but this is Zytel hi-fi link, and the sound card in your computer really isn't built to do high-quality sound, so those MP3s, or CDs or movies that you may be playing back on your PC just don't sound that good. This will take the music and decode it off of the computer and send it your stereo, so you have fantastic sound.

HARRIS: All right, that's sounds pretty cool. I'm sorry Suzanne, we have got to move on, because we had so much breaking news. We still wanted to get you on, and we did for just a minute. Hope you don't mind.

KANTRA: Not a problem. HARRIS: Thank you very much.
