CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: Let's roll out the latest word from Wimbledon now, where the Williams sisters are staying right on schedule.

CNN "Sports Illustrated's" Tom Steiner brings us an update on the big tennis tournament.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

TOM STEINER, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): After a dizzying first week which featured lots of sunshine, week two at Wimbledon began with Mother Nature expressing herself. The Williams sisters also did a bit of expressing. Two time reigning women's holder Venus won her 18th straight at the big W, routing Lisa Raymond one in two in just 47 minutes.

Little sister Serena stayed on a collision course with Venus, reaching the quarter finals 6-3, 6-3 over fellow American Chanda Rubin.

In the men's draw, Lleyton Hewitt still has not dropped a set. The Aussie top seed brushed aside Russian Mikhail Youzhny in straight sets to reach the last eight. Hewitt will next get Dutchman Sjeng Schalken.

Well, if Britain hasn't won Wimbledon in 66 years will the hex finally be broken? Tim Henman stayed alive with a gut wrenching five setter over Swiss Michel Kratochvil. Tremendous point here. The fourth seated Henman will next get Brazilian Andre Sa in the quarter finals.

For CNN, I'm Tom Steiner.
