KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Prosecutors could decide today whether to charge NBA star Allen Iverson for allegedly pulling a gun on a man.

An update now from Esther Miller of our affiliate KYW in Philly.

ANNOUNCER: Iverson wastes no time.

ESTHER MILLER, KYW REPORTER (voice-over): Allen Iverson may soon have to turn himself into police.

SYLVESTER JOHNSON, PHILADELPHIA POLICE COMMISSIONER: Whatever happen happened. We put the facts together. And the charges were based on the facts. And that's it.

CATHIE ABOOKIRE, PHILADELPHIA DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE: If an arrest warrant is issued in general, then that person could turn himself in with his attorney. Or the police department could go to their home and arrest them there.

MILLER: But the DA's office is not sure if Lynne Abraham will sign off on an arrest warrant.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I am not lying. I'm not sitting here doing anything for money.

MILLER: Iverson is accused of threatening Charles Jones with a gun after walking inside his West Philadelphia apartment Wednesday morning looking for his wife. Opinions about this story are mixed.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It was stupid on his part anyway, because he has got too much money for that.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I believe that he is not guilty until proven guilty. But, nevertheless, it certainly seems like there is evidence to go forward.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It's hard to tell. I could believe it would happen, because he has got prior history.

MILLER: At WIP Radio, callers lit up the phones with opinions. "Inquirer" sports columnist Stephen Smith also shared the microphone with host Angelo Cataldi. He wants Iverson to come clean.

ANGELO CATALDI, WIP RADIO: This is an issue concerning his life and the life of his family and how they are being affected, people other than Allen Iverson, meaning his loved ones are being drastically affected by what has taken place. And I really think he needs to address that.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

PHILLIPS: Police reportedly plan to search Iverson's suburban Philadelphia home for the gun and other items.
