KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN ANCHOR: Finally, a wedding story like no other. We take to you to a ceremony where the bride traded her bridle for a veil, and the main man appeared to be saddled with love quite comfortably.

Chris King from CNN affiliate KEYT in Santa Barbara, California takes us to the main event.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

CHRIS KING, KEYT REPORTER: How many weddings is it this for you now?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is my first animal wedding.

KING: Sandra Williams is a real nondenominational minister. She's here at Torial Canyon (ph) Park to confirm a real wedding. Music is provided bay real violinist. The best man is a real miniature horse. And as people begin showing up, there's a real sense of anticipation.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It's not everyday that horses get hitched.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I've been to a few, but not with horses.

KING: Did you make it to the bachelor's party?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I did. You know, They laid out a big trough for us.

KING: At long last, the groom arrives at appointed location, namely, group area 4.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This is the groom. This is Cassidy.

Are you excited? Yes, you get to marry Holly today. And then you can play and frolic forever and ever, yes.

KING: If tying the knot doesn't already make Cassidy nervous. This film crew from the British Broadcasting corporation might do the trick.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And we'll get everybody into position.

KING: The BBC is shooting this for their show called "Animal Antics." And when everything is finally place.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: OK, let the ceremony begin.

As we stand here together today, we are joining this pair of horses in holy matrimony, to commit to playing and frolicking, to loving, and protecting and sharing the rest of your life with her. If so, answer, I do.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I do.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Are you ready to settle down with Cassidy and spend the rest of your life with him?

May the God of peace bless you in this new relationship.

You may now kiss the bride.

KING: Do you think they had any idea what was going on?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Absolutely. I could tell from the very beginning when Cassidy whinnied when Holly came up.

KING: And so now, not only does your service span denominations, it also spans species now, right.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, it's true. It's true.

KING: And so these equine love birds find themselves joined in the bonds of holy matrimony.
