ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: Men who frequent prostitutes in Denver, Colorado, may find their faces plastered over a local cable TV station, as well as the city's Web site. "Johns TV" made its debut yesterday. We're not kidding.

Reporter Greg Mills of our affiliate KWGN takes a look.

GREG MILLS, CNN AFFILIATE KWGN REPORTER (voice-over): Now, this is must-see TV, a new reality show called "Johns TV."

ANDREW HUDSON, MAYOR'S SPOKESMAN: Even though we have beefed up the vice stings on this type of activity, nothing seemed to work.

MILLS: "Johns TV" stars real-life Johns busted by Denver cops.

HUDSON: So we took a page out of the playbook of other cities around the country that had began shaming the Johns.

MILLS: Names, mug shots flash on the screen on Denver's Cable Channel 8, men busted between July 3 and July 18 featured on the first installment of "Johns TV." We caught it at the Satire Lounge on Colfax (ph).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think they're trying to humiliate these guys maybe into not doing it. Maybe like if a guy is married and his wife sees him, then she would probably kick his (EXPLETIVE DELETED).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think that they should have both people on there, not just the men. I think the women should be also.

MILLS: Aurora has used the TV tactic to deter men from soliciting prostitutes. It hurt the prostitution business there. In fact, it drove some prostitutes out of Aurora and into Denver.

By shaming the Johns on "Johns TV," the city of Denver hopes to get the prostitution activity off city streets and out of city neighborhoods.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, it will have that desired effect.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: No, absolutely not. I mean, this is something that's been going on for -- since before crime started. I mean, you know, come on, I mean, it's ridiculous.
