CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: And now we want to move on to the "Talk of CNN" once again.

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: This is when we talk to various radio disc jockeys around the country. I think we're now talking to D.J.s from "The Bert Show" Q100.

COSTELLO: "The Bert Show" right here in Atlanta.

COOPER: Yes.

COSTELLO: They're a fun bunch.

COOPER: You guys there?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Sir (ph).

COSTELLO: Talk again, you're scaring us.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Are you there?

COOPER: Yes, we're here.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Here we go.

COSTELLO: I feel like that commercial, can you hear me? Can you hear me?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Can you hear me now?

(LAUGHTER)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We had this big build up here, we've been talking about you guys for 45 minutes. And we finally go to you and you guys are showing like a Days Inn commercial.

(LAUGHTER)

COSTELLO: It's our fourth day here at CNN. Anyway, we want to thank you for joining us. What are you guys talking about this morning? What's the hot topic in Atlanta?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, honestly we had something really cool happen to one of the members of the show this weekend at Ozzfest over the weekend.

COOPER: Oh my God, you went to Ozzfest?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well our news director, Melissa Carter, went.

MELISSA CARTER, Q100, "THE BERT SHOW": Yes, and you know and I didn't realize it was going to be Ozzy's last performance for like three weeks because now he's going home to spend time with his wife. But, yes, I sure went to Ozzfest on Sunday night.

COSTELLO: Oh tell us what happened to you -- Melissa.

CARTER: I was just...

COOPER: What was the crowd like?

CARTER: Well the crowd, of course, was a younger crowd, mostly guys, everybody had their shirts off, had been, you know, at the park, you know, HiFi Buys Amphitheater all day. Ozzy was the last act to go on of 20 acts that day.

And so we went and we're sitting enjoying the show. And then toward the end of the show this guy comes up to me, puts his arm around me. He said what's your name? And I said Melissa. And he goes well would you like to go backstage? And apparently he was a guy that the band, you know, had selected to go out...

COOPER: You got selected by the band? Whoa!

CARTER: Yes. (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

COOPER: I've heard about that kind of thing.

CARTER: That's right. Find women in the crowd so, you know, to go backstage and have a good time. And so I said you know I really appreciate the invite, but I better not do it.

COSTELLO: Well which band -- which band was it, do you think?

CARTER: It was -- well it was Ozzy and his, you know, band members. So I don't know which Ozzy band member it was, but...

COOPER: Wow!

COSTELLO: I know it wasn't Ozzy.

COOPER: It wasn't Ozzy, of course not.

COSTELLO: No, he loves Sharon.

CARTER: No.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You know what we think, it was just some random guy there watching the show just like Melissa.

(LAUGHTER) COSTELLO: Well could -- well how did you feel about that, Melissa, were you insulted?

CARTER: Oh absolutely not. I was very flattered because you know I'm 32 and I was, you know, an older member of that crowd so I thought, you know, what I'm very flattered that this young guy came up to me and asked me to go back there with the band members.

COOPER: Now did you understand anything Ozzy said on stage?

CARTER: It's funny he -- yes, you can understand him when he's singing, but you can't understand him when he's talking.

COOPER: Because I've actually interviewed him and he's actually a very sweet guy and I interviewed his whole family and they're great, but like he talks like this. You can't understand a word he says.

(LAUGHTER)

COSTELLO: Well, but he mumbled something very poignant at the end, didn't he,...

COOPER: He mumbled something...

COSTELLO: ... or the middle?

COOPER: ... poignant.

COSTELLO: No, about his wife, Sharon,...

COOPER: Oh really?

COSTELLO: ... because there's no trace of cancer, and didn't he say that from on stage?

CARTER: Yes, he probably after his second song he came on and said there was news from the home front. And then he said that she had apparently had a cat scan that was clear. So he said there was no more traces of cancer so that it doesn't look like her chemotherapy is going to last very long and hopefully it'll take care of it.

COOPER: Well you know, Melissa, you missed your opportunity to get into the next edition of the Osbourne family show.

CARTER: That -- you know what, somebody said that to me. And I thought, you know, I didn't think about that at the time or I would have done it.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: And she can curse with the best of them, I'll tell you.

(LAUGHTER)

COSTELLO: Well we applaud your high moral stand out there at Ozzfest.

CARTER: Thank you. Thank you.

COSTELLO: And thank you guys for joining us this morning.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

COSTELLO: "The Bert Show," Q100, right here in Atlanta, we love them -- bye.
