PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: Back to what's going on in Jerusalem, a slight update here, that apparent suicide bombing at Hebrew University. It is the "Ha'aretz" newspaper that has said that Hamas has claimed responsibility. Israeli officials confirming at least seven dead, 45 injured.

It's interesting to note the Associated Press is reporting that a young man identifying himself as Shai (ph) told Army Radio -- quote -- "There was a terrorist, he blew up. There is a lot of chaos, a lot of police, it's a mess, a lot are wounded."

BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: And interesting to listen to Jerrold Kessel, when he talks about the security measures being so tight and so stringent for so long, the mix of students at this university as well. I don't want to go into the area of speculation, but one has to wonder why this area of Jerusalem has not been a target in the past. And is it because Arab students attend there? Don't know an answer to that right now, but we know there are injured on both sides in this conflict right now as a result of this today.

Seven dead, the word we have right now, and clearly much larger than the hit we saw yesterday...

(CROSSTALK)

ZAHN: Yes. Well, the suicide bomber just blew himself up.

HEMMER: Yes.

ZAHN: But you made an interesting point that although the campus is predominantly Jewish, there are a number...

HEMMER: Arab students, that's right.

ZAHN: ... of Arab students there.

So as we get more information, we will bring it to you live.
