MEGAN MULLALLY, ACTRESS, "WILL & GRACE": It does not mean anything. It is something we borrowed. We kind of stole our CD packaging design from this graphic artist named Paul Rand. and he wrote a children's book. and one of the little phrases in one of the verses was "big as a berry," and just an accidental kind of title.

CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: Accidental kind of title, but no accident that you're singing again. I mean, your theater background actually really comes into play here.

MULLALLY: I had done a lot of musicals over the years, but I have a band -- we have a band called Supreme Music Program. We've been together for about five years or so, and we had another CD that we out a couple years ago, and we did this one with a little record company, and it's coming out today, and it's just a big eclectic mix of different kinds of music. It's a bit deconstructed. It's a little bit low-fi. and we recorded the whole album in 2 1/2 days.

LIN: Wow.

MULLALLY: Yes, we really like it.

LIN: You're working fast. Well, you're awfully busy, so you probably have to work that fast.

MULLALLY: Our producer actually picked one of her favorites called "Fancy." It's Reba McIntyre's remake. We want to play a little bit of it right now.

(MUSIC)

LIN: Wow, that's not how we see Karen, do we, your character?

MULLALLY: No, that's just a great song, though. I love that song.

LIN: What made you think to record a CD now of all times?

MULLALLY: I'm sorry, say that again?

LIN: I am just wondering, you are having so much success with your television show. Is this an indication that you want to branch out, or that you might be integrating some of your music into the show even? MULLALLY: No, and I don't think of myself as J-Lo or something. I'm not even trying to. That's not my aim. It is really just that I love to sing and we have had this band for a long time. I had the bands before "Will & Grace." So we've doing this all along, and it's really just something that we love to do, and kind of a -- more of a labor of love than anything else.

LIN: Very cool. Congratulations there. We are rooting for you this weekend on the prime-time Emmys nominations.

MULLALLY: You got a good feeling?

LIN: You know, it's just an honor to ever be included in that mix, and so it's just very exciting, and it's great for the show, and a couple of our people already won technical Emmys, so it's really, really nice.

MULLALLY: It is not whether you win; it's really what you wear, so.

LIN: Right, which is still up for debate at this point.

MULLALLY: Good for you. All right, be spontaneous, and go for it. Thanks Megan Mullally. Congratulations, and good luck with the CD.

LIN: Thank you, Carol.
