CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: "Sopranos" and the new fall television season on the minds of our friends at 101.3 KDWB in Minneapolis St. Paul. Let's check in with the -- Dave Ryan and "The Dave Ryan Morning Show" for this morning's "Talk of CNN."
Thanks for being with us this morning.

DAVE RYAN, "THE DAVE RYAN IN THE MORNING SHOW, 101.3 KDWB: Good morning, Catherine.

ANGI TAYLOR, "THE DAVE RYAN IN THE MORNING SHOW, 101.3 KDWB: Hello.

RYAN: You know it's funny because Quasimodo predicted we would be on CNN today which is pretty impressive that it came true.

CALLAWAY: Yes, it was true. Are you excited about this fall television season? You know I've heard a lot of people say it's going to be a yawner, what do you think?

RYAN: Well you know there's a couple of shows that I was really excited about. I'm a big "Twilight Zone" fan, and they brought it back in the '80s and it didn't really do very well. They're bringing it back on UPN, and I think it premieres tonight.

CALLAWAY: Yes.

RYAN: I saw -- I saw a sneak preview of it the other day, and boy it's such a hard show to duplicate. I wasn't really that impressed with it, but I'm going to watch it anyway.

CALLAWAY: Are you -- do you watch the "Sopranos?" I'm so lost on that show.

TAYLOR: Yes.

CALLAWAY: I have no idea what the plot is.

RYAN: Can I tell you something, Catherine?

CALLAWAY: What.

RYAN: I had -- I have only watched one other episode of the "Sopranos" my entire life and I didn't really know what was going on either, but I watched it the other night because everybody says it's such a great show.

TAYLOR: It is a great show.

CALLAWAY: Yes.

RYAN: And I caught up. And I am -- I'm semi caught up from watching the show.

TAYLOR: Yes.

CALLAWAY: The acting is great on that show, a lot of fun.

TAYLOR: The acting is great. I just read this morning though, that according to a "TV Guide" online poll that people were not very impressed with this episode, the season premiere this year. I didn't think it -- I didn't think it was that great either, but apparently, according to them, it's supposed to get really, really good this year. I'm totally excited (ph).

CALLAWAY: Yes, and we had someone on the other day -- the other morning here from "TV Guide," and they said that the second episode you don't want to miss of "The Sopranos."

TAYLOR: Exactly. That's what they...

CALLAWAY: Yes.

TAYLOR: Yes, that's what they said. I'm excited about it.

RYAN: Catherine, we're all -- we're both hoping that more people get whacked on the next episode.

CALLAWAY: Oh you really.

RYAN: That's what we're hoping for, yes.

CALLAWAY: I miss the mom. That's who I miss. She was great. She was wonderful.

All right, now what else, "Survivor's" coming up, right?

RYAN: I'm a big "Survivor" fan.

CALLAWAY: Yes.

RYAN: I love watching the show. I never miss it. It's one of the few shows that I can sit down with my 10-year-old kid and my wife and we really are into the show. There's not a lot of shows that are like that. Angi, on the other hand,...

TAYLOR: I'm over it.

RYAN: ... she's burned out on reality TV.

CALLAWAY: Hey, this Kelly Clarkson from "American Idol." I didn't get to see any of that either, but I know she's a big star. She's got a single coming out, right? RYAN: Came out yesterday, actually. And you know I've got to be honest with you, Catherine, I think it's good and she's a great singer, I'm not sure the single's going to be the smash hit that they really hope it's going to be.

CALLAWAY: Right.

RYAN: You know it just doesn't sound like a pop hit to me, but you know, what do I know, I've been -- I've been wrong before so it's -- we're playing it.

TAYLOR: No.

RYAN: We're -- yes, Angi can attest to that. I've been wrong before.

TAYLOR: No.

RYAN: However, Quasimodo predicted her song will be a huge hit -- Catherine.

CALLAWAY: All right. Well -- and if Quasi said it, you know.

RYAN: Yes.

TAYLOR: Quasi knows.

CALLAWAY: And I can't let you -- I've got to ask you this one thing, my producer told me to ask you about P. Diddy's underwear.

RYAN: I don't...

CALLAWAY: What is this going on?

RYAN: I...

CALLAWAY: You're auctioning something off, I don't know, Dave, help me here.

TAYLOR: We did a huge concert about a week ago, it's our yearly big summer show, and P. Diddy was our headlining performer. And being the sneaky people that we are, we busted in to his trailer and stole the lot of his sweaty clothes, including those underwear that you're looking at right now.

CALLAWAY: Oh that's gross.

TAYLOR: And...

RYAN: We had -- yes,...

TAYLOR: Yes, he signed them and everything.

RYAN: We had -- we had them on eBay, and they wouldn't allow us to sell used undergarments on eBay so they're -- now they are on WDWB.com. You can bid on them and it all goes to charity. CALLAWAY: All right, well good luck to you on that.

RYAN: Thanks -- Catherine.

CALLAWAY: Dave and Angi, nice talking with you this morning.

TAYLOR: You too, thank you.

CALLAWAY: Take care.

RYAN: Bye-bye.
