CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Teen movie critic Billy Norris becoming a media sensation. He sparked a bit of a bookings war between late night rivals Jay Leno and David Letterman. Letterman's sister is his editor and...
MILES O'BRIEN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Whatever. Whatever. He's in demand.

CALLAWAY: A big mess.

O'BRIEN: He's in demand. He was our guest a couple of weeks ago. We completely hosed him on time.

CALLAWAY: We certainly did.

O'BRIEN: We invited him back.

CALLAWAY: We did.

O'BRIEN: And we're making good on that promise.

CALLAWAY: Here he is.

O'BRIEN: Billy Norris, good to have you with us.

BILLY NORRIS, TEEN MOVIE CRITIC: Thank you. Nice to be here.

O'BRIEN: Gobs of time. Gobs of time for you this morning.

NORRIS: All right.

O'BRIEN: From Tampa, Florida.

Hey, one quick question for you.

NORRIS: All right.

O'BRIEN: You're 14?

NORRIS: Yes.

CALLOWAY: I know what you're going to say.

O'BRIEN: You sort of need identification to go to an R movie, right?

NORRIS: Right. O'BRIEN: So what do you do about those? Do you review those?

NORRIS: I actually don't review those.

O'BRIEN: You don't?

NORRIS: Since I still have three years to go before I'm 17, so -- well, actually, I turn 15 this year so a couple more years.

O'BRIEN: A couple more years.

CALLOWAY: Your mom's keeping an eye on you, Billy.

NORRIS: Oh, yes.

O'BRIEN: Good. Good, I'm glad to hear that.

Let's talk movies, shall we?

CALLOWAY: Yes, what's...

NORRIS: All right, sure.

CALLOWAY: What's your favorite movie out there now?

NORRIS: Well, actually, it's pretty slim pickings about what's been coming out lately.

O'BRIEN: I should say. I should say.

NORRIS: But one that's definitely my best pick right now would have to be "Signs." It's been out for a while. It stars Mel Gibson. But I mean it's, I really loved it because it's the first movie I think that I've ever seen that really scared the heck out of me.

O'BRIEN: Really?

NORRIS: Yes.

O'BRIEN: Wow.

NORRIS: I was clenching the arm rest for the whole thing.

O'BRIEN: Did you ever see "The Exorcist," Billy?

NORRIS: I did not see "The Exorcist."

O'BRIEN: Yes.

NORRIS: I'm still a little shaky and reluctant to see that one.

O'BRIEN: Yes, well, anyway, go ahead. That still gives me the willies. Go ahead.

CALLOWAY: Yes.

O'BRIEN: But this scared you?

NORRIS: Yes, well it...

CALLOWAY: Without the gore, right?

NORRIS: Right. It really was, it was more of a fear of the unknown type of thing, really creepy stuff. The casting was great, Joaquin Phoenix and Mel Gibson. Mel Gibson couldn't have picked anybody better to play that lead role. And it was just a really scary movie, a really, really great movie.

O'BRIEN: All right, what else are you liking right now that's out there?

NORRIS: Well, towards the kids aspect of things...

O'BRIEN: Yes, yes.

NORRIS: "Spy Kids 2."

O'BRIEN: We've got kids. We're always looking for movies for our kids. What do you like?

NORRIS: Yes, "Spy Kids 2" and "Stuart Little 2" are still out there. Both good movies.

O'BRIEN: Yes.

CALLOWAY: Oh, that's so cute. I saw that.

NORRIS: "Lilo & Stitch" is out in a few theaters. That one was my favorite kids movie of the summer, one of my favorite kids movies ever.

O'BRIEN: Yes, all right. What about "The Rookie?" You like that one?

NORRIS: "The Rookie," right. That one just came out on DVD and VHS. I loved that movie the first time I saw it. If you haven't seen it, you definitely should. And you don't have to be a baseball fan to like it, either. It's more about a follow your dreams type of thing, a really heartwarming story. Jim Morris, whose story this is, he made his major league debut with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, which is, that's my hometown team. And it's just, you know, he was a high school teacher and coach one day and a major league baseball player the next. So it's just a really great story.

CALLOWAY: It's a little long, though, for little kids, you've got to admit.

NORRIS: Yes.

O'BRIEN: Yes, yes.

CALLOWAY: My kids saw that.

O'BRIEN: Well, then there's "Monsters, Inc."

CALLOWAY: That's a great one.

NORRIS: Oh, "Monsters, Inc."

CALLOWAY: You like that one?

NORRIS: Yes, that was, that's already a classic a Disney/Picstar movie. I already got the DVD. That's definitely the best DVD buy.

O'BRIEN: Is it as good as "Shrek," do you think?

NORRIS: I think it's...

O'BRIEN: It's in that same league, don't you think?

NORRIS: It's equally as good as "Shrek."

O'BRIEN: Yes.

NORRIS: Everything about it. I mean right now you can see the detail in the animation.

O'BRIEN: Yes, yes.

NORRIS: That's from the new short film "Mike's New Car," which is on a DVD. Actually, the animated short film "For The Birds," which is also on the DVD, won the best animated short film Academy Award and it's, you know, just as good as the movie. It's absolutely hilarious.

CALLOWAY: Billy...

NORRIS: Yes?

CALLOWAY: Thank you very much for being with us.

NORRIS: Thank you for having me.

CALLOWAY: I wish we had even more time to go over it. You're just a delightful critic. Thank you, Billy.

O'BRIEN: Our definition of gobs isn't always everybody's definition of gobs.

CALLOWAY: Yes.

O'BRIEN: Billy Norris, good to have you with us from Tampa Bay.

NORRIS: Thank you.

O'BRIEN: We appreciate it. Come back again, please.

NORRIS: All right, absolutely.

O'BRIEN: All right.

CALLOWAY: Everybody wants Billy.

O'BRIEN: Everybody.

CALLOWAY: Yes.

O'BRIEN: Leno, Letterman. We got him.
