CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Time to talk sports now. Jimmy Barrett standing by at WRVA News Radio 1140 in Virginia.
JIMMY BARRETT, WRVA RADIO HOST: Catherine Callaway this morning, along with Rosey Edeh.

Good morning.

How is everything in Atlanta this morning, ladies?

CALLAWAY: Everything is going wonderful this morning. I know you want to talk about the big game, the big comeback. New Orleans 20-0, right?

BARRETT: Well, yes. They were down 20-0. Here's the thing, never say die, even in the National Football League. Let's talk about this one first.

The New Orleans Saints undefeated so far this year. Aaron Brooks, what a game he had, to Dante Stallworth. Here we go. Dante Stallworth will score with 1:11 left in that game. And they came all the way back from 20-0 to again remain undefeated in that one.

By the way, in case you didn't know, Aaron Brooks, Aaron Brooks is the cousin of Michael Vick. And of, all of you who are Falcons fans know a little something about Michael Vick. And, of course, we have a lot of Hokey fans from Virginia Tech who listen to our program here in Richmond, Virginia.

Hey, by the way, my old stomping grounds, Detroit, Michigan yesterday. They have a brand new home at Detroit, Michigan. The only problem is they have the same old team. Ford Field looked beautiful. The team looked awful. Although, you know what? Here's the, here, by the way, Joey Harrington, who at times looked brilliant, but I don't think this is one of his more brilliant moments. Well, actually, it is. All right, look at that! Touchdown Lions! Touchdown Lions! How did that happen?

CALLAWAY: Aw, quit picking on the Lions.

BARRETT: No, listen, I'm from Detroit. The last time the Detroit Lions won the National Football League championship -- that, by the way, is exactly how the game ended, with an interception. But the Lions came back. I mean they ended up losing 37-31, but at least they made a game out of it. There were people in the stands who were wearing bags over their heads, you know, like they used to do for the New Orleans Saints. But I was going to wear my Detroit Lions garbage bag over my head this morning, but I decided given the fact that Joey Harrington actually looked pretty good from time to time I would give them a break because, you know what? Hope springs eternal.

Carolina, who last year, what did they win, one or two games last year the entire season? The Carolina Panthers are 3-0. That's how upset Daunte Culpepper is, by the way, not only at Randy Moss, but at the situation. The Vikings have yet to win this year. It's like the two teams traded uniforms or something. The Panthers beat the Vikings 21-14 yesterday, and, again, 154 yards for Lamar Smith, looking great. And also, Rodney Pate, who has played quarterback for just about every team in the National Football League, he is leading the Panthers off to a brilliant undefeated start so far, 3-0. And finally, Browns rallied yesterday. They've been involved in more overtime games. They've actually given a few games away. This time they managed to win it. Tim Couch, 36 out of 50, more than 300 yards for Tim, 31-28 was the final there.

So there was a lot of great games, as always, in the National Football League. Few surprises along the way, as there always is. Here's the field goal in overtime to win it for the Cleveland Browns.

CALLAWAY: Oh, we didn't show it. Missed it.

BARRETT: Yup, I just saw it there.

CALLAWAY: Oh, good.

BARRETT: So I think we got that.

Can I make mention of one more thing, by the way, that's completely unrelated to football this morning?

CALLAWAY: What is it, Jimmy?

BARRETT: Ernie -- going back to Detroit for just a second, my old stomping grounds, Ernie -- going back to Detroit for just a second, my old stomping grounds. Ernie Harwell...

CALLAWAY: Yes, I don't know if you ought to be going back home any time soon.

BARRETT: Yes, but listen, real Lions fans know where I'm coming from. No, Ernie Harwell, the legendary voice of the Detroit Tigers, did his last game at, for the Detroit Tigers at home. And they had a great sendoff for him. The Tigers were like about 40 games out of first place. But they had about 30,000 people show up all chanting Ernie's name. This guy goes back even to the play by play announcers, the first one ever with the Baltimore Orioles. Before that, he was with the New York Giants and did Brooklyn Dodgers games at Ebbets Field. This guy is like 83, 84 years old. He's a legend in the broadcasting business. He's a member of the Hall of Fame.

And Ernie, if you're listening this morning, you will be missed. Thank you so much for all the great memories from baseball fans everywhere.

CALLAWAY: All right, what a voice.

All right, thank you very much, jimmy.

That's Jimmy Barrett. You always bring us great highlights. We appreciate it.

BARRETT: Thank you.

CALLAWAY: Have a great day.

BARRETT: Hey, you, too. See you later.

CALLAWAY: And don't go home any time soon, because I don't know.

BARRETT: Oh, well...

CALLAWAY: Detroit's not going to be rolling out the red carpet for you.

BARRETT: I'll just wear that bag over my head.

CALLAWAY: There you go.

BARRETT: I'll be able to blend in with the crowd that way. There'll be a lot of other people...

CALLAWAY: Oh, you're still zinging them.

All right. Take care, Jimmy.

BARRETT: See you later.

CALLAWAY: Bye-bye.
