CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: We have more now on Iraq. An Iraqi official was quick with a response to that British dossier.
And for the latest on that, let's turn to CNN's Rula Amin, who is actually joining us from Baghdad.

Rula -- what's the latest from there?

RULA AMIN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Catherine, the Iraqis have dismissed all of these charges. They say it's all false, and it's all baseless.

Iraq's Minister of Culture Hamed Yousif Hummadi made a statement today, reacting to these latest charges.

Now, in this statement, he said that it's all part of a Zionist plot. It's all lies. Iraq maintains it doesn't have any weapons of mass destruction anymore; that the weapons inspectors and Iraq itself destroyed whatever Iraq had had before.

They accused the United States and Britain of using the weapons of mass destruction issue as a pretext to launch an attack against Iraq.

And there is a lot of deep concern here. The more they hear of the talk of war in Washington, the more they hear of all of these plans and the plans that are put on the president's table on how to topple the regime here, the more concern you sense among the people and among the officials. We already see people who are trying to stock on food. But they tell us that there is very little they can do to avoid this -- Catherine.

CALLAWAY: All right, thank you -- that's Rula Amin from Baghdad.
