FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: We are going to give you a little bit more news now on that breaking news that we are covering for you, at least one of many today. This one involving some terror arrests in Oregon and elsewhere.
Our Kelli Arena is in Washington, and she is keeping tabs on it. What's the latest now, Kelli?

KELLI ARENA, CNN JUSTICE CORRESPONDENT: Well, the latest is that we have, the total number of individuals is six. We are told that they are U.S. citizens, that four of them were located in Portland, Oregon, one in Detroit, and one outside of the United States. I am told by sources that the charges against these individuals will mostly focus on providing support and resources for the al Qaeda terrorist organization, although other charges could be included. For those of our viewers who were not with us earlier, there is an ongoing FBI sting right now, if you will, of a so-called al Qaeda terrorist cell here in the United States. Arrests underway. It's still not clear at this point exactly how many of these six individuals are in custody. This is an ongoing operation as we speak, and we should get more details from the FBI officially at 2:00, and then from the Justice Department, we're told, in a separate press conference at about 2:30 -- back to you.

WHITFIELD: All right. We'll be bringing that to you live. All right. Thanks very much, Kelli Arena, appreciate it.
