FREDRICKA WHITFIELD, CNN ANCHOR: We want to interrupt our programming there and take you to Montgomery County, Maryland for another briefing.
CAPT. NANCY DEMME, MONTGOMERY COUNTY POLICE: The second call to our fire rescue that came out as perhaps someone had jumped from a building. And our preliminary indications are that the wounds are consistent with impact. And that the individual involved did indeed either jump or fall from one of the floors of that building. OK?

QUESTION: What's the building address?

DEMME: 3330 University Boulevard -- 3333 University Boulevard.

QUESTION: There's no sign of (UNINTELLIGIBLE)?

DEMME: At this point, no. There are a number of officers and fire rescue on the scene. And preliminarily, there's no indication at all that this individual has been shot.

QUESTION: No indication the individual might have been on a balcony, shot, and then fallen?

DEMME: Not at this point. It appears to be -- it appears that the person either jumped or fell from one of the floors.

QUESTION: But someone heard the shots before that?

DEMME: No, and it's not unusual for, depending on how far someone falls, for that sound on impact to be similar to the sound of a bang. All right?

QUESTION: (OFF-MIKE)

DEMME: Correct. And we are investigating that.

QUESTION: (OFF-MIKE)

DEMME: No, at this point, no indication at all that this is connected to what we are investigating. OK. Thank you.

WHITFIELD: All right. That's the latest briefing from Montgomery County, Maryland as they continue to investigate the shootings that have taken place there. Six now in all. And yet another one that is being investigated in Virginia by authorities there. We'll continue to update you on that situation as the information becomes available.
