CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: We have breaking news, this just in to the CNN center -- author and historian, Mississippi native, Stephen Ambrose has died of lung cancer. We are going to have much more on this story, but you know him as the man who lovingly told the tale of Lewis and Clark, in "Undaunted Courage," and most recently worked on the project "Band of Brothers," Tom Hanks' project for HBO. He wrote the book which inspired that project.
We are going to have much more on the man and the legacy that he leaves behind, as CNN SUNDAY MORNING continues.
