DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Well, do you want to have a rock star like Tommy Hagar redo a room in your home, adding his own personal touch. For some lucky fans, it's a dream that will come true. You might call it VH-1 meets Home & Garden Television, or a musical version of "Trading Spaces," a new reality show where music fans get a room in their house redecorated by their famous rock star.
Lisa Snowden is the host of VH-1's "Rock the House," and she joins us from Los Angeles.

Lisa, good morning.

LISA SNOWDEN, HOST, "ROCK THE HOUSE": Good morning.

KAGAN: This looks so much fun, this show.

SNOWDEN: It's so brilliant, you wouldn't believe. I mean, we totally, totally changed somebody's life. A fan of the music star, the reactions that we get, I mean, we go into the house, they know nothing about it.

KAGAN: It's an unsuspecting fan, so you have a fan who has a friend or a family member who contacts the show, and then what happens?

SNOWDEN: Then what happens, we instigate this whole operation where we get to the house, unbeknownst to them. We make sure they stay away from the house for, like, eight hours, and we follow them around throughout the day to make sure they are out and about and not coming back to the house. And then we transform a room in the house to the taste (ph) of the music star. We have an interior designer also who helps to works with the star.

KAGAN: Interpret that style, perhaps.

SNOWDEN: Yes, I mean, there's crazy styles. We worked with Asha (ph). We've worked with Tommy Lee. Obviously, Tommy Lee is, like, a rocker, so had like, red, and black and flames and kind of a hellish vibe. As you can see this.

KAGAN: We're hearing Sammy Hagar. Who's house did he do, and what was his inspiration?

SNOWDEN: His inspiration was the Cubbo Wubbo (ph). He is, like, a tequila drinker in the Cubbo Wubbo (ph) Club, and so Jim Kellum (ph), huge Sammy Hagar huge fan. We went in there, we created this Mexican outdoor patio inside their house, and he was totally blown away. I mean, the reaction, as you can see is crazy. He was almost crying. I was almost crying.

KAGAN: So he comes home and finds out that hi the dream rock star Sammy is hanging out in the house, redecorating a room?

SNOWDEN: Correct, correct. So we completely blow their minds, it's amazing.

KAGAN: You mention some other people coming up, such as Tommy Lee.

SNOWDEN: Tommy Lee, that's right on Monday. That was fantastic, too.

KAGAN: Whose house did he do?

SNOWDEN: A guy called Brent Clauden (ph). And when Brent saw Tommy, I mean he was completely God-smacked (ph). His eyes were full of tears, and it was really emotional.

KAGAN: What makes a Tommy Lee room?

Oh, well, there's a little picture.

SNOWDEN: You have got the flames. You have got like hell. It's like hell vibes, that's what it was. It was the Seven Deadly Sins. It was a picture of a vixen on the wall, a big transfer (ph), like a tattoo, just lots of really cool, crazy ideas.

KAGAN: That's nice. You spray painted the camera.

Let's listen to the reaction from Tommy Lee.

SNOWDEN: Yes, watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Tell you what, my life does not suck.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

KAGAN: Oh my. My life does not bleep. Well, let that speak for itself right there. So he was happy. For the people that you've done so far, the shows that you shot, anybody not so happy?

SNOWDEN: No. Everybody has been totally happy. One guy wasn't too impressed with the makeover, but he loved the fact it was with Weird Al. But if they don't love the room, they're so in awe and they're so overwhelmed at the actual favorite, favorite music star is there in the house with them, so they're just blown away -- like I'm going to live and die in this room, in this house! It's pretty special.

KAGAN: Weird Al Yankovich is redoing a room. That's something to tune in. Hey, when can people see the show on VH-1?

SNOWDEN: It's on VH-1 on Monday nights at 10:00, Eastern Time, I believe, it's at 7:00.

KAGAN: Very good. We will look for it. Good luck with the show. Like I said, it looks like a lot of fun, and a lot of different types of interior decoration out there.

Thank you so much, Lisa Snowden, with VH-1's "Rock the House."
