AP: Police Have Suspect In Bali Bombing

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: We want to get more details on the arrest in the Bali bombing.
We are joined on the phone by CNN's Atika Shubert in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Atika, the suspect's name is Amrozi. What do we know about him?

ATIKA SHUBERT, CNN CORRESPONDENT: We know that he was living in an Islamic boarding school in East Java. That's where police picked him up yesterday.

He is apparently the last owner of the van that was used in the Bali bombing, specifically the largest bomb that exploded there, killing more than 180 people.

Now, police were led to Amrozi by those car remains. They were able to find the serial number of the engine of the car, trace the car, find out where Amrozi lived, and that's where he picked up -- where they picked him up -- Carol.

COSTELLO: Is he connected to any extremist group?

SHUBERT: At this point, they are looking at it for further investigation into that. They do not have a direct link yet.

However, at his home, they did find quite a few documents about jihad and various places in Asia, specifically southern Philippines, Ambon in Indonesia and the Sulawesi area of Indonesia.

So, certainly, it seems like he had an interest in some of those Islamic militant movements. We don't know whether or not he directly was involved in any of those movements -- Carol.
