MARTIN SAVIDGE, CNN ANCHOR: Andrea Koppel now joins us live from The State Department.
Andrea, my question to you is given the fact that this was a unanimous vote and it was in favor of the U.S. resolution, how significant the victory?

ANDREA KOPPEL, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, Marty, it is a significant victory for the Bush administration. Obviously, there was a lot of compromise over the last eight weeks, but the U.S. believed that it is a tough, really concrete resolution that will put Saddam Hussein on the spot. But perhaps equally important, it will also give a lot of Saddam Hussein neighbors, countries like Jordan, Saudi Arabia and even Turkey the political cover that they need to say, Look, the United Nations has given the U.N., rather has given the U.S., a mandate, a unanimous resolution, putting Saddam Hussein on the spot, telling him he has to disarm or else.

SAVIDGE: And of course, these are nations that have military bases that the United States needs.

Andrea Koppel, live at the State Department, thank you very much.
