DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: We move on to something lighter and more enjoyable. It has been almost 40 years since Donny Osmond first toddled onto "The Andy Williams Show," launching what would become a lifelong entertainment career. It's a career that continues to evolve. You probably know this: He's hosting the new reinvented game show "Pyramid." Released a new CD, one of the busiest guys in show business and somehow Donny Osmond made time.
DONNY OSMOND, ENTERTAINER: Hello, Daryn.

KAGAN: Hi, Donny, how are you doing?

OSMOND: It's good to see you again.

KAGAN: Yes, last time I saw you...

OSMOND: My racing partner.

KAGAN: Yes, we were in a celebrity car race a few years back. And I believe, yes, your car ended up upside down.

OSMOND: It was upside down. We won't talk about that. Seems like with all this breaking news, it's quite trite to just lighten it up and say I've released a new record, but...

(CROSSTALK)

KAGAN: I know, and...

OSMOND: Hey, can I just say that my heart and prayers go out to all of those victims who suffered so much loss in these storms.

KAGAN: Absolutely. And we do appreciate your being flexible with all our breaking news.

OSMOND: My pleasure.

KAGAN: And Veterans Day too, I know you're respectful of the folks who are trying to get on that. And I should tell you we are standing by for the president from Arlington Nation Cemetery, so of course...

(CROSSTALK)

OSMOND: So it's me and the president. I feel great.

KAGAN: Pretty good company there. OSMOND: That is good company.

KAGAN: You are our break, and we do need a little break in the clouds today.

How about this new CD?

OSMOND: Well, it was a fun CD to do. I picked songs from Earth, Wind and Fire, Hall and Oates. "I Can't Go for That," just some of my favorite songs of the past. I even revisited "Puppy Love" if you can believe that one.

KAGAN: "Puppy Love" is on the new CD?

OSMOND: I did an acoustic version of it, a completely different version. And there's only 12 songs listed, but there are 13 songs on the CD. It's a hidden track. I brought my brothers back into the studio. We did an Osmond (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

KAGAN: I was also reading that actually the Osmond family, you're going to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year?

OSMOND: That is right.

KAGAN: That's exciting

OSMOND: Very exciting. We've been hoping that would happen for quite some time, and it's going to happen.

KAGAN: We have "Puppy Love."

OSMOND: You mentioned the -- you mention the fact it's been 40 years, and somebody told me the other day that this is like my 42 album, so it's like an album a year.

KAGAN: Well, in fact, we have a little flashback for you, Donny. If you can look at the screen, we have a little thing for you. Let's show our viewers.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: What is your name?

OSMOND: Donny.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How would are you?

OSMOND: Five.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

OSMOND: Oh.

KAGAN: Yes, we went and found some good ones.

OSMOND: That chick named Marie. KAGAN: Hey how is she doing? How is your sister doing.

OSMOND: She's doing great. I'm trying to get her on "Pyramid," and she says, she wanted all the answers. And I said, Marie, they'll throw me in jail if I gave you the answers, and she says, That's why I want all the answers.

KAGAN: Exactly. Exactly. Just have to get this one thing on the CD. We got a lot of e-mail from your fans, and this one from Amy Webster (ph) in Baltimore wishing you the best of luck. She has a question for you. She wants to know which track on the new CD you'd most like to see get radio air play.

OSMOND: One of my favorites is (singing). One of my favorite songs, and that leads off the whole album. And second one, the Hall and Oates, "I can't go for that, no" (singing).

KAGAN: I'm flashing back to high school, Donny.

OSMOND: Oh, you are? That's why I called the album "Somewhere in Time," because each song takes you back somewhere in time.

KAGAN: Speaking of going back in time, you've gone back in time to bring back one of the most popular game shows.

Donny, stand by, we have the president.

OSMOND: The president.

KAGAN: Yes, so good to talk to you. Yes, good to see you, Donny.

OSMOND: Good to talk to you, Daryn.
