CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: In Van Wert, Ohio, the Twin Cinema Theater was evacuated just moments before a tornado tore through that building.
Let's go to Jeff Flock, who is in Van Wert this morning.

Jeff -- an incredible story of survival there, and a lot of people owing their lives to someone who was on top of the weather situation.

JEFF FLOCK, CNN CORRESPONDENT: You said it, Catherine -- a lot of almost incredible stories of survival this morning.

I want to take you to the theater in just a second, but first, we're picking our way here through the industrial park. This is the other area of the town that was so hard hit. I heard you talking a little bit ago about the power of these storms. Take a look. This is the twisted metal, this is the sign -- on the sign of this building here -- tremendous damage that has taken place here. Again, this is the industrial park in Van Wert, Ohio.

One person seriously injured here, but miraculously almost, no one killed here either. It helped, of course, that it was a weekend here.

Let's -- as we jump down, I'll try to give you another perspective. I'll take you over to that movie theater. It is the Van Wert Cinemas. There were about 60 people left inside when the warning came on the weather radio. There is an emergency warning system that has radios at places like movie theaters, hospitals, schools. They got the word. They tried to keep everybody inside. About 60 people went to the bathrooms and to the hallways, and fortunately, all of those people survived. No one even seriously injured. Amazing.

Another incredible tale over here. I'm showing you the undercarriage of an 18-wheeler. Take a look at what was done, just flipped it up on its side -- a lot of these scenes here.

Another man weathered this out in the cab of his 18-wheel big rig. He said he felt the cab being -- the tractor-trailer being dragged, and then it began rotating up, being sucked up into the funnel, and he was deposited back down -- again, minor scratches and cuts. He survived it, too.

As you said, Catherine, a lot of incredible stories of survival.

CALLAWAY: I would love to hear what he has to say about what that experience was like.

FLOCK: We're going to hear at the half-hour. I have some comments from him that we'll be listening to -- a fascinating story.

CALLAWAY: All right, Jeff, we look forward to it -- thank you very much. I can't believe that car, all the way through the theater -- thanks, Jeff.
