CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Saddam Hussein did say yes to the new U.N. resolution calling on Iraq to disarm.
Let's go to CNN's Rym Brahimi, who is live in Baghdad to give us the latest from there.

Hello -- Rym.

RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hello, Catherine.

Indeed, Saddam Hussein, the president of Iraq, has said yes. It's in the newspapers this morning. (UNINTELLIGIBLE) enough, though, the Arabic newspapers used the word used in the letter, saying that Iraq will "deal" with Resolution 1441. The English-language newspaper that you can see here uses the word, "accept." "Iraq accepts officially the U.N. resolution."

So, there's always been this dichotomy between what is for outside public consumption and what is for internal consumption, Catherine.

Meanwhile, people are waking up to this here in Baghdad. A lot of them found out about it last night, and a lot of them think that it might have delayed the problems, it might have delayed what they think is inevitable, a U.S. attack, but it certainly hasn't put it off for good -- Catherine.

CALLAWAY: All right, Rym, thank you -- that's Rym Brahimi in Baghdad. Thank you.
