CATHERINE CALLAWAY, CNN ANCHOR: Let's get the reaction now in Baghdad. Let's head to the Iraqi capital, where we will find Rym Brahimi.
Rym -- what has been the reaction there among the Iraqi people to this nine-page letter?

RYM BRAHIMI, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Well, Catherine, people have been able to read that nine-page letter in the newspapers. It was in both the Arabic-language newspapers and also in the English-language newspapers. The entire text of the letter written by the foreign minister to Kofi Annan was in there.

Now, people here are very skeptical. They don't think it's the end of their problems. In fact, they think it's probably the beginning of new problems, because they think that whatever happens, the Americans do want to hit Iraq anyway. And so, this might delay things a little bit, but it certainly is not putting them off for good -- Catherine.

CALLAWAY: All right, Rym, thank you -- that's Rym Brahimi.
